Signed photo of Lily Tomlin, about 1971Lily Tomlin’s first nightclub engagement in Boston was at Paul’s Mall, the famous cellar nightclub on Boylston Street, April 1-4, 1971. It was probably during this time that Lily inscribed and signed this photo, writing in black ink: “To Amy, Love… and that’s the truth!” Although the photo is undated, this is a promotional photo that Lily used after leaving the Laugh-In television show, when Irene Pinn was her manager. (Pinn signed Tomlin with Polydor Records, resulting in the Grammy-winning album, This Is a Recording, in 1971.)

This 8 x 10 glossy photo is in very fine condition—no marks, tears, or creases. No marks of any kind on the reverse. The lower left corner has a slight curl, and the photo has yellowed a bit. The inscription and signature are clear and strong. Identity of Amy is not known. The Troy Street Images watermark does not appear on the actual photo. Price: $69. Art Farmer Signed Photo 1967In December 1967, the trumpeter and flugelhorn Art Farmer played an engagement at the Jazz Workshop in Boston. Farmer was a veteran presence on the scene by then; he had been performing and recording for over 20 years in Los Angeles in New York, and his playing was noted for its lyricism and warm tone. While at the Workshop, he signed this photo for one of the club’s owners. Although the signature is clear, the ballpoint pen was skipping on the photo’s glossy surface.

This 8 x 10 glossy photo is in very fine condition—no marks, tears, or creases, and no marks of any kind on the reverse. The lower left corner is creased, but the damage is outside the image area. The Troy Street Images watermark does not appear on the actual photo. Price: $69. Contact me for more information or to purchase.
